Objective

To be able to design, lead and advise companies in all their phases

Practical skills are thereby taught for:

  • Entrepreneurship and management,
  • Reorganization and Restructuring
  • Handling crises in an company

Well-founded specialized knowledge of business development is crucial for successful and responsible decision-making and action in management positions. The understanding and application of management tools as well as interdisciplinary key qualifications of a leader (such as team, conflict resolution, empathy, and persuasion skills) complete your training.

Career Outlook

The completed Master’s degree offers excellent job prospects in almost all areas of business administration both in and outside of Germany.

After successful completion of the program, management positions in middle and higher management are possible in:

  • national and international companies, both in industry and the service sector,
  • political institutions, associations and
  • public institutions and non-profit organizations.

Completing the master’s degree also opens up the possibility of pursuing a demanding job independently as an entrepreneur or as a freelance consultant.

Structure of the Program

The Master’s program is based on the life cycle of a company and teaches you the skill of integrated thinking (a.k.a. networked thinking) hands-on.

The degree program covers four semesters. The special feature is that the first three semesters correspond to the life phases of a company. That way, you work out the typical processes for each phase, from starting a business to dealing with a crisis, in cooperation with other students in a project-related manner. The transfer and application of the associated special knowledge and management techniques is networked and is mainly carried out by practitioners.

Due to this strongly application-oriented concept, the master's program offers a close coupling of theory and practice in addition to its international orientation. Assessing alternative solutions for practical problems with foresight, while also developing your own creative solutions, is one of the main skills you’ll learn. Your theoretical/scientific qualification ripens with the preparation of your master's thesis in the fourth semester.
